Please review the following job description:

Provide middle office support for the sales and trading teams by performing the following functions: trade corrections, order entry, inventory reconciliation and P&S. Responsible for staying abreast of industry changes and taking advantage of training opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations by processing tasks within the department(s) and maintaining excellent service levels.
  • Resolve issues and apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet the demands of the business.
  • Stay current with industry standards and new policies and procedures relative to the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and update daily pricing files with monthly statement reconciliation.
  • Monitor and process option assignments and expiration.
  • Demonstrate initiative and commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the business.
  • Monitor daily inventory position and P&L information for respective trading desks and assist in the resolution of any differences.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience

2. Provide high-quality client service

3. Ability to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure in a fast paced environment

4. Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality

5. Strong Organizational, verbal and written communication skills

6. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office software products

7. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 or ability to obtain the Series 7 license within 120 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Two year brokerage industry experience.
