You will work closely with cross functional teams to understand their unique challenges and translate their business objectives into clear and actionable requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Requirements Gathering:
    • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements through various techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, document analysis).
    • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, unambiguous, testable, and traceable.
    • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks, and constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate closely with business users, project managers, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure alignment.
    • Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proactively identify and resolve conflicts and issues related to requirements.
    • Obtain and document stakeholder approval for all requirements.
  • Project Lifecycle Support:
    • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
    • Support the development and execution of test plans and participate in defect resolution.
    • Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Workday product updates.
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the requirements gathering process.
    • Embrace feedback and actively seek opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Workday HCM and/or Workday Adaptive Insights (Workforce Planning).
    • Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing complex business requirements.
    • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and techniques (e.g., user stories, use cases, process modeling).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
    • Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
    • Knowledge of integration best practices.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49 to $54 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
