Position Overview
Source and contract food items required in the operation of all TXRH concepts and restaurants and support the distribution function with the priorities of quality, food safety and price.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing and contracting for the Foods category items delegated by the Sr Manager of Procurement or Director of Procurement
- Support internal operations partners and Texas Roadhouse distributors by handling purchasing and distribution related problems associated with assigned categories
- Work with distribution partners as well as suppliers to ensure product availability and surety of supply
- Research and support the sourcing of alternate suppliers by coordinating sample evaluations and product testing and approval with the TXRH Food Team
- Support and enable communication to stores concerning product changes or issues
- Maintain appropriate records of negotiated contracts
- Utilize internal and external systems to audit and ensure contract compliance.
- Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
- Support the preparation and processing of Requests for Proposal (RFP)
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
- Request and coordinate samples requested by Buyers and other Support Center departments
- Support Operations, QA, Culinary R&D for all concepts on product development and improvement
- Continuously work to monitor KPIs and communicate back to suppliers
- May come in contact with company trade secrets, confidential information, and intangible assets

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Preferably in Business, Economics or Agriculture
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing/Buying/Food/Supply Chain/Distribution ; Restaurant Experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills Necessary
