Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager (PM) will lead the development and implementation of Project Management Methodology while managing large cross-functional teams for enterprise-wide Construction projects. This role involves matrix management of internal teammates and vendors to deliver business solutions across the organization.
Employment Details
Please note – this is a fully remote position, but there is some on site needs at construction locations with potential for nights and weekends, depending on project. Applicants may be from the following states – Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, DC
- Type: Contract Only
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with additional evening and weekend availability required

Core Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and execution using best practice Project Management methods
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, and team member roles
- Track project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions
- Enforce and teach project management best practices
- Manage stakeholder communications and customer involvement
- Oversee change control and scope management
- Lead construction meetings as owner’s representative
- Review contractor payments, schedules, and submittals
- Maintain detailed project documentation and records
- Drive decision-making and consensus building
- Coordinate internal and external resources
Project Management Duties
- Prepare and maintain status reports and time management documentation
- Review applications for contractor payments
- Monitor project variances and develop solutions
- Evaluate material substitutions for cost and schedule improvements
- Coordinate bid processes and construction document review
- Manage project submittals and documentation
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in complex building construction
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience managing matrix teams and cross-functional projects
- Strong knowledge of construction management best practices
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Construction Program and Team Manager
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $55/HR. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
