Content Design Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Content Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of design and engineering skills, with a strong focus on creating engaging consumer video products. This role will involve the development and enhancement of technical products, ensuring high-quality content creation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

This is a 12-month hybrid contract in Culver City, CA; New York, NY; or Cupertino, CA. Candidates may work remotely, but must be local to the above locations to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive prototypes for consumer video products.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement content additions and updates.
• Identify and troubleshoot content bugs, ensuring optimal performance of internal tools and processes.
• Utilize various software and programs for 3D modeling, animation, and video production.
• Perform quality checks including color correction and image/video compression to enhance content quality.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Create and maintain a portfolio showcasing production work and technical skills.
• Work with XCode, SVN, and GIT for version control and local builds.
• Support app development with bug writing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Engage in team collaboration to optimize workflows and enhance product features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in content design and engineering, particularly with consumer video products.
• Strong knowledge of content creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Cinema 4D.
• Experience with iOS app development and understanding of coding/scripting.
• Familiarity with video production processes, including motion graphics and animation.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant production work and technical expertise.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
