Freelance Account Director

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: Ongoing contract
Hours per week: 20 (to start)
Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Rate Range: $60 - $75/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Account Director to manage and grow multiple accounts for our agency client. The ideal candidate will possess a robust marketing background and be skilled at presenting and managing client relations. This role will involve strategic planning, proposal development, and overseeing sponsorship opportunities, ensuring objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies for various clients
• Lead engaging presentations that effectively communicate project objectives
• Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention and growth
• Lead proposal development efforts, including writing and presenting proposals to clients
• Coordinate with team members to ensure project milestones are met
• Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities for events and initiatives
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy
• Oversee project management activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work

Qualifications

• Background working at an agency 
• Proven experience as a Group Account Director, Account Director, Sr. Account Supervisor or similar role
• Strong skills in presentation design and client communication
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a competitive mindset
• Experience in proposal development and client relations
• Knowledge of conventions sponsorship and entertainment sales is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
