Job Description

The Coordinator, Legal Recruiting play an integral role in providing support for the department and assist with all legal recruiting initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:

  • Assist with all aspects of the legal recruiting processes, including scheduling of attorneys and candidates for interviews, greeting and escorting candidates, maintaining and updating candidate files, Coordinate the planning of recruiting events, the scheduling of campus related programs, organize materials for campus programs, and assist with hiring season statistics.
  • Assist with lateral interviews as needed, including in-house interview schedules and viRecruit input and updates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the summer program including events, summer calendar, invitations, rotation schedules, attorney handbook, summer associate binders and summer gifts, etc.
  • Help with the administration of the summer associate program, including communication with recruits prior to arrival, plan events/functions, and summer associate evaluations.
  • Participate in the creation/management of promotional manuals, brochures, invitations, website, video content and related marketing initiatives including social media, video content, photography, etc. in order to improve candidate experience and build awareness for employment opportunities.
  • Assist with the NALP form, Chambers and related surveys & publications as well as the Firm online profiles (Chambers Associate/firsthand, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service relationships with candidates, vendors and Weil attorneys, managers and support staff.
  • Monitor Recruiting Inbox, flag emails of interest, and take appropriate follow up action.
  • Any additional responsibilities as required by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 2+ years in legal or campus recruitment for a Big Law or Professional Services Firm.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter; ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
  • Excellent PC skills, ideally have experience with legal recruiting database (ViRecruit).
  • Makes appropriate and timely decisions within area of responsibility.
  • Speaks and writes clearly and accurately; actively listens and responds to the needs of others.
  • Without direction, anticipates needs and seeks alternatives to situations.
  • Needs to be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree required.

Estimated salary range is $70,000–$85,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
