Director, Finance – Exteriors Segment

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Chicago’s West Fulton Market District with a hybrid work schedule.
Mission:
Drive the financial planning, reporting, and performance of the Exteriors Segment to support AZEK’s growth initiatives and sustainability objectives.
Key Performance Objectives:
Lead Financial Planning and Analysis for the Exteriors Segment:
- Within the first 90 days, fully understand the segment's annual financial planning, long-range financial planning, dynamic forecasting, and contingency planning processes.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful management reporting and analysis to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and Execute High-Quality Analytical Insight:
- By the 6-month mark, establish best-in-class financial reporting processes that provide proactive insights into business performance and align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Continuously provide actionable commentary on industry and market trends, offering recommendations for performance improvement.
Manage and Deliver Dynamic Financial Forecasts and Models:
- Within the first 12 months, deliver robust dynamic forecasting models, including upside/downside scenarios, sensitivity analysis, and real-time performance tracking against the annual and long-range goals.
Drive Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic activities, including growth initiatives and major investments, through detailed financial modeling and analytics.
- Lead efforts to optimize financial processes and incorporate best practices within the Business Unit.
Prepare Communications for Senior Management and Board of Directors:
- Lead the development of clear and impactful financial presentations and communications for senior management and the Board of Directors, demonstrating financial results and strategic recommendations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring strong performance through continuous feedback, formal performance reviews, and targeted development plans.
Provide Support for Corporate Finance Functions:
- Serve as a key financial partner to Corporate Finance on earnings releases, external disclosures, and investor relations activities.
Success Metrics:
- Delivery of accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts.
- Impactful financial insights and recommendations leading to improved performance and growth.
- Successful collaboration with leadership to drive the financial strategy for the Exteriors Segment.
- Development of a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or Master’s in Finance preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with a focus on financial planning and analysis. Public company experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and business performance management applications. Experience with Hyperion/Essbase, Oracle, and JDE a plus.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear, concise manner to all levels of the organization.
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated success in driving change and leading financial strategy across an organization.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $175,000 to $185,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
