Overview

The Strategy & Business Development group at Repligen leads the development and execution of global corporate strategy. In addition to running the annual Strategic Planning process, the group drives critical initiatives across all functions and geographies. The team supports the development and execution of organic and inorganic strategies globally for Repligen and executes on Repligen strategy via a variety of strategic transactions including M&A, licensing, equity investing and other partnerships.

As Director of Corporate Strategy, you will collaborate with Repligen.  Business Unit leadership on critical strategic initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams that develop and execute strategies supporting the growth of the business.

The ideal candidate will possess a scientific background, ideally in the life sciences, and relevant business experience, as well as the strategic skills to take the lead on multiple strategy projects. They will have the ability to think through long-term industry trends, issues and approaches to help formulate Repligen strategies in different market areas in addition to help prioritize objectives balancing internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate is required to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with multiple stakeholders. Strong partnership with members of our organization to develop and deliver on strategy will be critical.

Responsibilities

The Director of Strategy will:

• • • Support Annual Strategic Planning Process
      • Lead components of the company-wide strategy process in collaboration with business and function leaders through a Business Unit centric organization
      • Facilitate workshops and prioritization exercises, provide constructive criticism and independent analysis, push to define targets and meaningful KPIs
    • Lead / Manage Strategic Projects
      • Lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes with clear impact
      • Ensure that project collaborations with external consultants are well-managed
      • Prepare recommendations and present updates to leadership
      • Multi-task in balancing large book of work while ensuring consistent attention and prioritization of most critical and visible projects
      • Provide role model leadership and business rigor within Repligen culture

Qualifications

• • Advanced degree strongly preferred (PhD, MS, MBA) with scientific or engineering disciplines a plus
  • Consulting background or Corporate Strategy experience strongly recommended, along with project management experience
  • Prior experience in biopharma and life sciences tools or other relevant industries strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp business and financial acumen
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence senior management
  • Team player and a builder with affinity for new technology to make impacts on global health
  • Energetic, self-disciplined, creative and mature with a business/customer orientation and strong leadership potential
