This position provides support to fee earners in the IP and Litigation and other Departments who engage in trademark prosecution work. Your Role:
As a Docketing Supervisor, within our Intellectual Property department, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists Docketing Manager in the oversight and project assignment for docketing team members. Oversees implementation of changes or improvements in docketing policy and process
Responds to inquiries from clients, attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants relating to docket and deadline issues in a timely fashion. Responsible for delegation and oversight of any resulting projects/assistance to be completed by the docketing team as a result of such inquiries. When needed, prepares communication to the practice team to deliver results or outcomes. Works with attorneys, paralegals and legal administrative assistants to ensure that trademark matters are addressed in a timely and efficient fashion.
Maintains docketing databases for all domestic and foreign trademark prosecution and dispute matters including accurately entering, monitoring and clearing deadlines in a timely manner as well as scanning and attaching relevant trademark images and documents. Accurate Docketing in two systems is required.
Consults with paralegals and attorneys with any questions if instructions or documents are unclear prior to data entry into the docketing database.

Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, college or business school certificate a plus. Five years of recent trademark docketing experience with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department. Working knowledge of Trademark docketing procedures. Experience with U.S. and foreign trademark filings. Regular and predicable attendance is a core requirement of this position and the ability to work beyond the standard scheduled hours, as needed.
