As the Executive Director, U.S. Communications, some of your responsibilities may include:
Lead U.S. Communications team consisting of two direct reports.
Lead, develop and execute U.S. internal and external communications strategy with a focus on advancing Sandoz's reputation among key stakeholders, promoting Sandoz products in the market, and supporting the global Sandoz purpose of pioneering access for patients.
Provide local Sandoz corporate brand management, quality control and co-ordination for all local communications in coordination with Sandoz global.
Drive internal leader and associate engagement strategies for the Sandoz U.S. organization, ensuring the highest levels of understanding of company strategy and team engagement.
Promote a strong sense of purpose and culture throughout the company.
Support enhanced thought leadership strategy for Sandoz by positioning its leaders as go-to-experts in own and earned media opportunities.
Conduct local media relations including developing relationships, arranging interviews / conferences and developing proactive strategies to achieve positive media coverage
Liaise and cooperate with the global Corporate Affairs team in the preparation, review and approval process as well as distribution of global media releases
In partner with VP for Global Public Affairs and North America Corporate Affairs, provide communications and thought leadership guidance to members of the U.S. Leadership Team.
What you'll bring to the role:
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business or related field of study
Proven experience with external and internal communications, including product communications, thought leadership and integrated communication strategies.
People and team management experience
Proven excellent writing skills and a strategic communicator
Desirable (preferred):
Proven experience at a pharmaceutical company in external and internal communications
Proven highly developed interpersonal skills to work with experts from throughout a globally matrixed company and with agency partners
Proven change management experience
Position Location:
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $201,600.00 - 252,000.00 - 302,400.00/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
On September 30, 2021, Sandoz entered into a 5-year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Certain positions will have responsibilities to support the execution and adherence to CIA obligations, CIA-related deliverables, and any relevant audit, monitoring or Independent Review Organization (IRO) remediation.
