As a Field Service Supervisor - Underground Utility Locator/Mapping (Gas) here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee our Field Service team, ensuring safe, efficient and effective service delivery for underground utility mapping projects, with a focus on gas utilities. Your strong understanding of utility drawings and experience in the field will be crucial in ensuring accurate and reliable utility locating/mapping services. You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and work out of our Charlotte, NC location. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of our field service operations, the satisfaction of our customers, and the safety of underground utility infrastructure. You will be responsible for supervising a team of field technicians, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and oversee the Field Service team for underground utility locating/mapping projects, with a focus on gas utilities
- Ensure efficient and effective service delivery, meeting project timelines and customer expectations
- Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians, ensuring accurate and reliable utility locating/mapping services
- Review and interpret utility drawings to identify and locate underground gas utilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance service quality
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies
YOU MUST HAVE
- Proven experience as a Field Service Supervisor or similar role in underground utility locating, with a focus on gas utilities
- Strong understanding of utility drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately
- Good technology background with proficiency in using field service software and tools
- Excellent administrative and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
