Qualifications:
The Group Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, including, but not limited to, supervision of staff, coordination of client services, household management, and adherence to all regulations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
STAFF DEVELOPMENT/SUPERVISION: The Group Home Manager recruits and interviews potential candidates, along with the Program Manager. Schedule staff to ensure sufficient coverage and minimize use of overtime. Orients and trains staff in all areas including, but not limited to, fire safety and evacuation procedures, household operations, record-keeping/charting, incident reporting, grocery shopping/meal preparation, finances, regulations, and licensing and individual specific. Identifies additional training requirements and arranges for training to occur. Maintain documentation of staff training. Provide supervision of staff through individual and group meetings and role-modeling.
PROGRAM COORDINATIOR/PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: The Group Home Manager completes individual evaluations. Attends team meetings as scheduled. Serves as liaisons between programs, and professional staff when developing program services for individuals. Ensures completion of all documentation in a timely fashion. Evaluates individual programs for effectiveness. Recommends changes to the QDDP. Ensures program services and supports are being carried out consistently. Order house supplies and schedule maintenance.
RECORDKEEPING: The Group Home Manager supervises the timely and accurate completion of staff's paperwork. Completes required daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork requirements. Monitors records to ensure files are complete and up to date. Completes required licensing documentation and paperwork.
DIRECT SERVICE: The Group Home Manager provides direct care to clients whenever the need arises. Oversees and assist with activities of daily living, including, but not limited to: personal care, medication management and administration, community outings, money management, nutrition, interpersonal relations, and household tasks. Schedules appointments and attends with clients whenever necessary. Plans recreational activities for clients. Supervise clients at UCS facilities, as well as at off-site locations. Provides social support to clients. Ensure client integration into the community. Provides opportunities to clients to practice what has been taught. Performs med administration, as assigned. Serves as role-model to clients and staff.
CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES: The Group Home Manager oversees the person-centered program planning through the supervision, development, and management of the ISA. Coordinate appointments with other providers as needed. Complete necessary documentation in a timely fashion. Assist individuals and staff in the identification of strengths, needs and goals. Train staff in methods and strategies and monitor for implementation and effectiveness. Ensure that services are provided as outlined in the ISA. Review ISA expectations, objectives, and data collection systems to ensure smooth, consistent implementation. Ensure that regulations are adhered to. Participate in the on-call rotation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Windows software skills, both typing and navigating, and e-mail usage.
Valid Driver's License
Must become delegated by DS RN to pass medications for specified residents within 6 months of employment.
