This leadership position is located onsite in Palmdale, CA.
Essential responsibilities including (but not limited to) the following:
• Directs activities for all product lifecycles for Maintainability Engineering and Supportability Low Observable
• Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance for both teams
• Acts as contact for disciplines' activities, leading review sessions with internal and external customers
• Supports design reviews, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, test, and deployment / sustainment. Develops new business or expands capability to achieve efficiency and financial targets
• Exert design influence in support of maintainable, supportable, and sustainable solutions
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and coordinates solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Directs the work of employees supporting programs from technical, execution and administrative areas
• Understands statistical analyses and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
• Understands task sequencing, based on product lifecycle phase, for Maintainability Engineering products and services

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Maintainability and/or military/commercial aviation maintenance OR a STEM Master's Degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in Maintainability and/or military/commercial aviation maintenance .
• EVMS Control Account (or Work Package) Manager experience
• Previous experience with Panel Access Frequency Analysis, Maintainability Task Analysis (MTA), Maintenance Plan (MxPl) development, Maintainability Prediction and Allocation development, and Maintainability metrics (MMH/FH, MTTR, JET, etc.)
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings for maintainability impacts.
• Current active DOD Secret Clearance, with the ability to maintain program access.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance or higher with special access.
• Air Force, Military and/or commercial aviation maintenance experience.
• Previous experience working Product Support efforts on development and/or sustainment programs.
• Familiar and able to effectively review and consider Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Probability of Loss of Control/Aircraft/Mission, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), Thermal and Vibration Testing methodologies, and Reliability Centered Maintenance / Condition Based Maintenance
• Experience with Reliasoft, Relex, SHIELD.
• Previous experience working with low observable technology maintainability
Salary Range: $138,100 - $207,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
