Skills and Competencies:
- Good foundational knowledge of economics
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in using software tools such as Tableau/Power BI
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle workflow, to adapt to a changing environment, and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
Education:
- Students matriculating through college, studying towards a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification, or a Master's Degree, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related quantitative field
- Graduation date of December 2025 - June 2026
- Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support to the Methodology Review Group (MRG) in managing the various processes and tasks involved around MRG's core activities, which include the methodology review, methodology approval and credit rating action review process.
- Assist in the preparation of the methodology review memos and the approval memo..
- Participate in the review of methodology and CRQT approvals that are submitted to MRG
- Prepare MRG and regulatory reporting, ensuring high accuracy and completion in a timeliness manner.
- Participate in enhancing the data visualization on MRG's reporting using Tableau or Power BI
About the Team/Program:
The Methodology Review Group (MRG) is an independent review function within Credit Standard and Strategy (CSS), whose mission is to uphold the integrity of our Credit Rating Methodologies. MRG responsibilities include, among others, the review and approval of Credit Rating Methodologies, and the sampled review of Credit Rating Actions and Periodic Review Assessments.
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth.
