How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations change management within the Grove City Diesel Engine Remanufacturing Facility whether that is driven from Capital Investment, Rearrangement, New Product Introduction, Continuous Improvement, or other initiatives.
What do we want to know about you?
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelors/associates degree or certification is a plus (Preferred Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college)
- Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated successful “hands on” approach with shop floor personnel in the area of Continuous Improvement
- Strong digital skill set with MS Office software (Excel, Access, Power Point and Share Point)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Clear thinker, able to analyze and resolve complex problems.
- Established project management skills and ability to deliver results.
- Ability to work effectively across functions, proven influencing skills, ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to influence
What will your typical day look like?
- Facilitate, support and at times lead cross-functional teams through problem-solving sessions driving improvements in productivity, safety, delivery, capacity, and cost.
- Mentor and assist Team Leaders in Lean & Digital tool usage to improve their manufacturing operations.
- Be a plant focal point of Lean for both Continuous Improvement activities as well as programs such as the Performance Bonus Program.
- As necessary own the execution of various projects and initiatives supporting Continuous Improvement.
- Drive standardization of continuous improvement training, tool usage, and execution within the shop.
- Other relevant duties as assigned (to ensure the safety, quality, performance, and cleanliness of our operations)
What about the physical demands of the job?
- Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE.
- Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on learning process.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
The salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $90,000. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
