Position Overview

The Food Procurement Coordinator will play a vital role supporting all Food Procurement categories. This role will support the team with coordination, auditing, and any and all functions related to the procurement of food and commodities.

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying sourcing needs to implementing ordering processes with suppliers and distributors

Support operations and Texas Roadhouse distributor by handling purchasing and distribution related problems associated with purchasing categories
Support the members of the Procurement Team with administrative functions
Research and source alternate vendors by coordinating sample delivery, evaluations and product testing and approval with the TXRH Food/Culinary team
Maintain records of negotiated contracts, etc
Utilize internal teams and programs to audit and confirm contract compliance
Work with Distributor and internal systems to Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future product availability
Assist in the Preparation and processing of Requests for Proposal (RFP)
Analyze Bids and Restaurant Usages
Research and compile ad hoc data for new and existing projects/programs
Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.

Communicate product changes, with our restaurants daily
May come in contact with company trade secrets, confidential information, and intangible assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required in business, economics or agriculture
Purchasing/Buying experience and negotiation experience preferred but not required. Restaurant experience a plus

Strong Microsoft Office Skills Necessary
