The role
The Senior Event Planning Manager is responsible for planning and executing events stemming from Sales bookings, with a primary focus on Banquet Food, Beverage, and Meeting Room Rental. This role serves as a key liaison between group meeting planners and hotel staff, ensuring seamless communication and delivery of services. As a leader within the team, the Senior Event Planning Manager provides guidance to Event Sales Managers, Event Planning Managers, and Trainees, while also handling key accounts and managing high-volume events for the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering Sales agreements and detailing all event-specific needs, including Food, Beverage, and A/V requirements.
- Managing room blocks, monitoring pick-up, and overseeing billing instructions and final review processes.
- Collaborating with all hotel departments to ensure the successful delivery of services as communicated to clients.
- Acting as the on-site contact to ensure the smooth execution of all events.
This position requires extensive event planning experience, preferably in a hotel setting, as well as a strong ability to effectively sell hotel services to gain client commitment and satisfaction.

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by The 5th Street Diner + The Royal Room, a street side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents and guests alike. This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower – Siena – and 10,000 square feet of retail space.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous hotel event planning experience
- Must be experienced in general computer knowledge and programs
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally & in writing, with public and other team members
- Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Strong time management & multi-tasking skills
- Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire colleagues to exceed standards and expectations
