What does this role look like?
* Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a System Administrator.
* You would be a key member of a local Information Technology group supporting an unclassified network as a site System Administrator.
* This position provides Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux server system administration services, including server installation, system configuration, security patching, and network integration, as well as the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Instructions (SOI's) in support of network infrastructure and end user needs.
* Candidate may be required, on occasion, to support after hours or weekend support in order to perform recovery and restoration of servers, perform system diagnostics, and troubleshoot problems.
Candidate will provide day-to-day support of local IT environment to include:
* User account management
* Server administration
* Server and user desktop software application installation
* Troubleshooting system issues, deskside user support
Position is located in Silverdale, WA - work-site is on the Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor Submarine Base.

Basic Qualifications:
* Demonstrated working knowledge of RedHat (8.x and 9.x) Linux server or Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
* Demonstrated troubleshooting experience, including network connectivity and hardware/software
* Ability to manage daily server operations (permissions management, IT security & compliance, file sharing, print services and patch management, etc.) and knowledge of Vulnerability Management
* Experience upgrading server operating systems, configuration/change management, antivirus management and developing/maintaining documentation
* In accordance with DoD 8570 must obtain Security+ CE certification to be able to access military network.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should have
* Virtual hosting management using VMware
* Knowledge of NAS/SAN systems and their integration with Linux or Windows Servers
* Working knowledge of backup and restore applications
* Experience with scripting tools
* Experience with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $55,300 - $106,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
