Web Developer / Engineer
A Houston agency is seeking a full-time full stack Web Developer / Engineer to join its team. This is a salary role that requires someone to be onsite in the Greenway Plaza office Tu-Th.
Responsibilities:
- Develop enterprise-level websites and digital experiences
- Participate in all phases of the development process, which includes requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, and product launch
- Develop interactive single-page applications with the support of a headless CMS
- Develop finely crafted responsive web layouts
- Support new and existing content management integrations
- Support web integrations related to our marketing team's technical stack
- Facilitate and support front-end framework/tooling updates along with content management systems updates
- Contribute to the continuing improvement of development practices, methodologies and technology stack
- Translate and understand business and graphic design requirements into technical requirements
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to develop wireframes and user flows to document and clarify understanding
- Participate in weekly stand-up meetings during project sprints
- Engage meaningfully with internal creative teams and managers
- Collaborate with visual designers on design deliverables, interactive prototypes and production-ready web experience
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of front-end HTML/CSS layout techniques and JavaScript development is required
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vanilla JS, React, Vue.js and jQuery
- Experience and familiarity with modular CSS, BEM methodology, CSS grid and responsive layouts
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, Gulp, Bower, Grunt, Babel, Webpack, PostCSS, Autoprefixer or NPM
- Experience with CSS frameworks and utility libraries such as Bootstrap and TailwindCSS
- Experience consuming REST API, SOAP Services and GraphQL
- Enjoys animating with code (GSAP, Anime.js, Three.js)
- Strong knowledge of web standards, patterns, best practices and browser compatibilities
- General understanding of CMS architecture
- PHP experience
- Craft CMS experience
- Twig template engine experience
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- A collaborative, self-motivated, "always-learning" spirit
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience in technical discipline
