Responsibilities Responsible for setting up and operating manual or semi-automatic welding machines. Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements. Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies using welding equipment. Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances. Understand proper quality weld standards, including slag removal. Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age. Welding experience preferred. Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, square and blueprints. Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.) May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Lift 25 lbs. repetitively. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise.
